Colorado Aggies.Com
RAM Pride begins with AGGIE History
Colorado State Athletic History 1893-2009

In 2007 Colorado Aggies.Com was established to preserve the history of football at Colorado State University first by preserving the pre-1957 Aggie era and later all of
football at CSU. In 2009 the first book written about the 116 year history of CSU football was completed and the website transformed into a preservation of all CSU
athletics. Eventually this website will hold information about all sports including information about coaches and athletes. Regular feature articles about different sports and
of course football will help keep not only the Aggie athletic tradition alive, but the Rams tradition as well.

Colorado Aggies.com is a privately funded website maintained by a 1993 CSU graduate with a degree in history and passion for Colorado State University history. It is
not associated with the university, but it does help inform and update CSU athletic history for the school as well. We are constantly trying to grow this site and add more
photos and stories to bring CSU sports fans the best historical information possible.

The 1902 Photo Collection of
Other Sports at Durkee Field
On April 29, 2009, Colorado Aggies.com visitor Rich Delanoy, a 1968 CSU graduate, sent several photos
from a collection of his that features several photos taken around the spring of 1902 at Durkee Field and on
the Colorado Agricultural College campus. The wooden fence that surrounded the field was built there in the
fall of 1901 and in these extremely rare photos the wood still looks new. All three of the special features on
Colorado Aggies.Com show different sports and campus shots as well.

1902 Baseball - Shows the Aggie baseball team in various poses and action shots on the dirt field of
Durkee Field. Some photos resemble Ty Cobb tobacco baseball cards and others offer a historical look at
how the baseball diamond was situated.

1902 Track - Features various track and field events at Durkee Field along with a cultural look at how men
watched the men in athletic events and women did not.

1902 Women's Basketball - Three extremely rare photos show the women of Colorado Agricultural
College playing basketball on the south side of Old Main. The women of the college played the game before
the men did, but they did not play intercollegiate games, just within the school. The first gym had not been
constructed yet, so they played outside. Also on this page are several campus photos that date to 1902.

This historical photo gallery of sports other than football mark a new beginning for the Colorado Aggies.Com
website. When the website was established in April of 2007, football was the only sport featured, but now
with the completion of
Aggies to Rams it is time to focus on more than just football. Although football will
always be the main focus of CA.C, over the next year this website will transform into a preservation of all
athletics at CSU from 1893 to 2009.
